This workshop is designed for couples navigating the challenges of PMDD, offering tools, insights, and strategies to foster understanding and support. Whether one partner has been diagnosed with PMDD or suspects they may have it, this course provides a comprehensive approach to help both partners work together to manage the condition and its impact on their relationship.
Together, you will:
Understand PMDD: Learn what PMDD is, the science behind it, and how hormonal changes in the menstrual cycle contribute to its emotional and physical symptoms.
Recognise Its Impact on Relationships: Explore how PMDD affects communication, intimacy, and daily interactions, and learn ways to navigate the emotional challenges as a team.
Build Empathy and Connection: Through relatable case studies and guided discussions, gain insights into each other’s experiences and develop a shared language to discuss PMDD openly and compassionately.
Discover Practical Strategies: Develop tools to manage symptoms together, including stress-reducing techniques, lifestyle adjustments, and strategies to de-escalate conflicts during challenging times.
Navigate Diagnosis and Treatment: Understand the process of diagnosis, explore treatment options, and discover how to support each other through the journey from identification to symptom management.
Create a Supportive Dynamic: Build a toolkit for mutual care, focusing on emotional resilience, healthy communication, and shared decision-making to strengthen your bond.
This workshop is inclusive and designed for all couples, regardless of gender or orientation. It provides a safe space to reflect, learn, and grow together, helping you build a stronger, more understanding relationship in the face of PMDD’s challenges. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to navigate PMDD as a team, ensuring both partners feel supported and empowered on this journey.
The workshop also offers an ongoing messaging support group, providing a space to connect with the peers you complete the course alongside. This group serves as a source of ongoing support, where you can share ideas, seek advice, and encourage each other throughout your journey.
